Our Identity
1 John 3:1-3 reveals our true identity as children of God. This identity transcends earthly roles and accomplishments, providing a stable foundation regardless of our circumstances. When we embrace our identity in Christ, we find a sense of belonging and purpose that the world cannot offer. Living authentically means aligning our private and public lives with our identity in Christ. This alignment strengthens our relationships and serves as a powerful testimony to others. Let us hold firmly to our identity as children of God and live out our faith with confidence and joy.
Bible Verse: 'See what kind of love the Father has given to us that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.' - 1 John 3:1-3
Reflection Question: How does knowing your identity as a child of God impact the way you live your life?
Prayer: Father, thank You for calling us Your children. Help us to live authentically, aligning our lives with our identity in Christ. Amen.
