Listening to the Word of God
As we follow the Grace Discipleship plan for reading a portion of the Gospels each day, here are some online resources available.
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17
Daily Audio Bible (Click title)
This production company has an app (Android & Apple) and website with several reading plans from which to choose. Brian Hardin, his wife, and two of his children read a portion of the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs each day. You can listen while you brush your teeth, drive in the car, or prepare a meal. The Word of God becomes active in you as you listen. The Word is transforming you as you hear it.
Let’s Read the Gospels (Click title)
Popular podcaster Annie F. Downs reads one gospel all the way through every month. The episodes are available online and via many podcast sites. The episodes are less than ten minutes each and she offers several listening guides. Again, listen while you are driving or walking. Let the Word change you.
The Bible Project (Click title)
Another popular production company is the Bible Project. You can watch several videos on how to read the gospels by clicking the link above. You can find additional material on the
Grace Church App, Click Premium Content, then The Bible Project.
Bible Gateway (Click title)
Bible Gateway has an online presence as well as apps. Their content is full of wonderful material, including several audio versions. These are mostly free and you can listen to the gospels from the app or website.
