Who Am I?
Who Am I?
“Whom have I in heaven but you and having you I desire nothing upon earth” Psalm 73.
Where is our identity linked? Our bank accounts, our health, our health insurance, our families, our jobs, our social status? Lord, help me to see myself as you see me. With love, guide my in your path.
Finish the sentence: I put my trust in: (CT scans, chemotherapy, doctors, my grades, my school, my marriage, my money). Father, “Some trust in chariots, some trust in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord, Our God” (Psalm 20) help me to trust in You for my entire being.
What’s in the room? “You shall have no other God’s before me” (Exodus 20:3). In the Holy place of the tabernacle and the temple, each of the items points to Jesus: There is one way in and one way out (“I am the way”). There is a lampstand on the left (I am the light of the world”). There is bread on the right (“I am the bread of life”). There is an altar of incense before the Holy of Holies (“We have a great high priest”)(Hebrews 4). Everything in the room draws our attention and the priests’ attention to the coming Messiah. What else have we placed in the room? Father, help me to be honest with myself and with you, knowing that you love me desire for me to come to repentance in you.
Father how have I continued to rely on the ways of the fallen world instead of relying on your strength and power?
Consider making a list of ways God has delivered you in the past to help you remember His strength, power, and love for you.
“Early in the morning, I cry out for you, for in your word is my trust.” Psalm 119
“I put my trust in your mercy, my heart is joyful because of your saving help.” Psalm 13

Grace Discipleship: Pray for the needs of others, the hungry & oppressed
Dear Lord, heavenly Father, thank you for opening doors for my family and friends. We pray for the needs of others. ........
Proverbs 3:27- it is God’s job to place specific people in our lives that need help; and it is also His job to give us resources to help those people. "Do to others as you would have them do to you."
Oppression and Persecution can take many forms. At its core, oppression is malicious or unjust treatment. We believe that people thrive when they are free - both physically and spiritually. Freedom of expression, worship; and the opportunity are critical for individuals and communities to be whole.
Luke 6:20-21,24-25-Blessed are you who are hungry now, for they will be filled.
But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation. The bible refers to the Word of God as the bread of life, if we are spiritually hungry, we hunger for more of the Word of God. Thank You Jesus, for all You have planned for us. – Gina Ulrich
